Buffalo Chicken Sausage Pizza: Super Thin Crust Style!

You know the saying, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em? Well, that’s just what I did tonight in honor of this never-ending July heat.  Yep, I kicked up dinner a few degrees – buffalo style!
Growing up, every Friday night in our house was pizza night.
Dominos, Little Caesars, Pizza Hut.  Add in two hours of TGIF and let’s face it, life couldn’t have been better.  Fast forward 15 years.  I still love pizza, but I like interesting pizza (don’t worry Papa John’s, I still love you and your garlic butter dipping sauce!).  It must be the creative baker in me.  I just like to do interesting and fun things with pizza.
This pizza gets started with a Flatout bread.  Side note: these things are amazing!  You’ll also need tomato sauce, hot sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, buffalo chicken sausage, and some corn.
Once you throw the Flatout bread in the oven to crisp up, all you need to do is chop up your cooked sausage, and get your mozzarella and corn ready.  I used corn on the cob since I can’t get enough of it this time of year.  Just cook it up and cut it off the cob. My grandpa is rolling in his grave right now.  He felt the only way to eat fresh corn was straight off the cob.  He probably could have won eating contests for most cobs per minute.
Alright corn, cheese and sausage.  There’s plenty of room for all of you.  Everyone jump on top!  Time to get warm and toasty!
Mmm.  I drizzle a little extra hot sauce once it comes out of the oven, and some ground black pepper.  If the outdoors aren’t already making you break a sweat, this one sure will!

Buffalo Chicken Sausage Pizza
Makes 2 personal pizzas
2 Flatout Bread or tortilla (any flavor)
1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 tbsp. hot sauce
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
1 Buffalo Style Chicken Sausage link (I use Al Fresco!), cooked and sliced
1 corn cob, corn removed from cob
1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Line baking sheet with foil.  Place Flatout breads on baking sheet and bake about 3-4 minutes on each side, until crispy.
2.  In small bowl, stir tomato sauce and hot sauce.  Spoon evenly onto Flatout bread, leaving about 1/2 inch from the edge. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, sausage, and corn.
3.  Bake pizzas about 3-5 minutes, until cheese is melted.  Drizzle with hot sauce and a sprinkle of ground black pepper for an extra kick. 🙂

Question: What is your favorite kind of pizza?
